2. FINDING INFORMATION

The most common sources of online information are web pages and new feeds. 

Web pages

 A web page is a collection of documents that can include text, audio, video, images and hypertexts links to other web pages.

There are millions of files in millions computers around the world, and it's impossible to find a specific piece of information that you want. To solve this problem, a variety of search engines have been created.

A search engine is a web page with a database of information about other web pagesand their content.

New feeds: Rich Site Summary (RSS)

RSS is a subscription service that provides users with frequent updates from media websites, bogs and other sources of information.

People can suscribe to web pages in two ways:
-Directly from the web page, in a 'suscribe' icon.
-Trought a news aggregator program, online or downloadable.
