4. TRANSFORMATION OF MOTION

Some mechanisms transform linear motion into rotary motion. Most of these mechanisms are reversible. They also transform rotary to linear motion.

The linear motion can be unidirectional of reciprocating. Reciprocating motions alternate from one side to another.
